Qulture Shock: Triple Threat

There’s a triple threat of fantastic performances coming up in ol’ Freddy at the end of the month:

June 28 (Thursday): Alexander Van Alstyne’s band LABUT is playing from his forthcoming album, “Communist Vodka Blues” at Fusion Nightclub in Fredericton. Alex is going on @ 11:30 PM, so drink plenty of coffee.

THIS ‘OUT AND ABOUT’ EVENT IS CANCELLED: Thursday, June 28, Out and About Fredericton is organizing a trail walk in Odell Park. Meet at the Odell Park parking lot @ 6 PM. NOT HAPPENING.

June 29 (Friday) Michael Dudeck, a queer Shaman-Witch artist in residence at Gallery Connexion, is performing “Exegesis Prototype”, with magic, music and ritual to bring us into the queer spirit world; doors open @ 7 PM at Gallery Connexion, 440 York Street, Fredericton.

June 30 (Saturday) QTC and the Gallery Connexion are co-sponsoring the production of  Lee Ann Poole’s “Short Skirt Butch” at Gallery Connexion, 440 York Street, Fredericton @ 8 PM. It is recommended that you email the producer <dearhalifax@gmail.com> to reserve a ticket, which are $10 each.

“Tragic, confessional and a touch delusional” -Xtra National Short Skirt Butch, a new play by Lee-Anne Poole, follows Jean, the brokenhearted young queer, post-break up in a one person show exploring the concepts of ‘femme’, sexual identity, sexual polyamory and heartbreak…… going a little crazy with heartbreak! Short Skirt Butch is going on a barebones road trip tour this summer, hitting Fredericton, Montreal, Ottawa, and Toronto (want to see us?
